After trying all sorts, our volunteer group has found the hori hori knife to be the best all round tool for tackling the most common perennial weeds (veldt grass and gladioli) in our bushland reserve in Perth. It's relatively expensive, but is well balanced and robust, stays sharp, is a pleasure to use and will last a lifetime.
Just wrap some red electrical insulation tape around the handle to make it easier to spot if you put it down during weeding.
I quite like these little clamps. There is something quite enjoyable about them that's hard to articulate, perhaps becuase the beautiful, well made and handy? The're easy to use, small and dont get in the way like those "quick clamps" from the big box hardware store. Great for making little boxes and small projects.
Bought these sheers to supplement my hedge Trimming tools about a month ago and they have now become my pride and joy tool, only reserved for the more intricate jobs. The precision cutting is of top quality and the workmanship of the tool is top notch! Highly recommend!
Superb tool set from JTA, initially thought a little small for my hands, but ounce cutting the tools are perfect. Excellent service from JTA including the sharpening video for maintaining an edge on gouges. Mike
That's not a knife, this is a knife.... but bigger
I've never used this product on a knife.
I use it to keep the rust off of my various swords, axes and armour which are used for historical medieval combat. It works great on the steel, but also I apply it to the leather and linen pieces as well.
It works really well and is a much longer lasting protection than using WD40 or Ballistol
I carry this with me when I'm checking the fire trails in my forest for fallen branches rather than lugging a chainsaw about with me. Initially, I purchased a pruning saw from a well-known gardening brand, but it was hopeless. I challenged my woodworking students to cut a small piece of Jarrah with the common brand. Not one of them was able to do it. After purchasing my Silky, I issued the same challenge and not one student failed it. The Silky was like a hot knife through butter. This isn't a saw just for pruning a suburban backyard, it also works brilliantly in the rough.
I use these for styling my Bonsai...neat...sharp...many blade shapes to suit each circumstance. Well made. Exactly what I wanted. Excellent value for money. Usual great service from JTA. Very happy customer.
