Refunds and Returns

AT JTA we are extremely proud of our range and stand behind the quality of our products. We have designed our returns policy to exceed our customers' expectations. 

CHANGE OF MIND RETURNS 

Is your item not what you expected? JTA offer a 14 day – No questions asked returns policy from date of purchase. We will exchange the returned item/s for: 

  • store credit in the form of a JTA Gift Card
  • for a more appropriate item of equal value 
  • full refund of the product/s. 

Please note that your item needs to be unused and with its original packaging where appropriate. Please post to: JTA Returns - 29 Production Ave, Kogarah, 2217, NSW 

Please include the pick slip with your return – which includes your order details and a request your which preference you would like. 

If you change your mind on a purchase outside of the 14 day period above, we offer store credit to the amount of the purchase, minus the postage costs applied at checkout. 

 DAMAGED OR FAULTY RETURNS 

We understand, when it comes to tools, the joy is in the use and the proof is in the pudding.

If you use your tool and it does not behave as expected, please send photos of the tool, the job and your best description of what has happened to us at: info@japanesetools.com.au

Where a tool is defective, we will offer an exchange of equivalent value or a refund. In cases where a customer accepts an exchange, we will cover all associated postage costs. 

In a case where a tool is not defective, has suffered unexpected damage and it is reparable (such as a small chip in a chisel blade), we offer a free repair service within 90 days of purchase. JTA will bear the cost of postage.

In a case where a tool is not defective, has suffered unexpected damage within 90 days of purchase and it is not reparable (such as a fine saw blade losing teeth), we will offer a replacement blade at a 30% discount. JTA will bear the cost of postage. 

We are here to work with you and deliver the best possible experience of our tools. 

 PROCESSING REFUNDS

Where a purchase was made online, refund will take place via our website infrastructure to the same card or PayPal account that made the purchase.

Where purchases have been made in person, we will process the refund via direct deposit, in which case please contact us with your preferred bank details.
