Japanese Woodworking Tools

A truly beautifull tool that is addictively satisfying to use. This type of craftsmanship needs to be supported.

My most recent purchase of these secateurs was my third. I originally got a pair for my Mum, then one for me and the most recent pair for my sister in NZ (who is now also in love with them). They are not cheap but definitely worth the money. They are a pleasure to use and are really tough. I love mine and will give them as special gifts into the future as they are that good. The only downside is that you need to look after them to keep them in perfect condition (and if you do they stay in beautiful condition). Buy the cleaner and oil - you won't regret it.

I bought this to go with the Hori Hori that I absolutely love. The sickle cut through thick kniphofia grass so easily and I am sure I will find lots of other uses for it. A beautifully made and easy to use tool - highly recommend!

Considered design, layout and look makes this a great toolbox for people who like nice things. I love that I can tailor the layout on the top section with the divider - perfect for smaller things.

Decent quality tool for the price.
I always prefer wooden tools for the feel in hand. Excellent for cleaning up inside bowls, I use it daily in my kintsugi practice.

This gardening tool is the best piece of equipment to use. Its design allows me to remove unwanted plants carefully and precisely in garden beds. It makes weeding easier and satisfying.

This Baren is 30% larger than the $7 version - a pleasure to use on my 130mm-wide rice paper prints - controls well with the rear binding - and, any ink through the rice paper, removes from the baren easily with a sponge. Worth the purchase!

I use this for a bunch of things layout etc but it is great for making sure hinges are squarely attached, it is worth just that one task. Setup it up and leave it.
