Perfect

I'm using these tapered nails and drill bit in musical instrument construction. They are excellent to replace screws and convert a bolt on neck to a glue in neck greatly enhancing sustain.
They are also excellent for repairing splits and cracks that would otherwise be unrepairable.
The holding ability is impressive and the best thing of all no ugly screw heads

Small wooden nails

This is my first time using wooden nails and they are perfect for joinery that can be expressed in a subtle but beautiful way.
The tapered drill bit provides a super accurate pilot hole

Japanese wooden nails

It would be better if an in between number of nails were on offer - the packages are either too small or too large.

Hi Geoff,
Noted, thanks! We'd like to source them in a range of sizes, we'll have a look at what can be done. Hope they're helping you to build some beautiful things.

Many joining problems solved

I used the Tapered Drill Bit and matching timber pegs to join the corner mitres of a 250 x 300mm clear finished ash photo frame; by using two pegs per mitre, one each from opposite sides at right angles to the mitre line, they provide a timeless decorative feature (little ovals) in addition to their natural holding
power.

I haven't used it yet (28/12/16) but if it is as good as the small one it should be good.

Tapered Drill for wooden nails.

Wonderful item and essential for the beech wood nails. However I think they have to be used at slow speeds lest they overheat.

New to using wooden Beech pins

I have just built my first small box securing it with Beech wooden pins. The tapered Drill Bits were excellent to use and enabled me to produce a good looking box.
