The beauty about this rasp is that it not only can take off a large amount of material when using the course side, but it can do that in a tight right angle, or create a flat surface. I use circular motions when treating a display side of wood, start off with the course side, flip it over to the fine side, and you have no scratches at all. It is designed with gaps going through to each side, which allows the saw dust to just fall to the floor without build up. I’ve even found the tip to be of use when clearing out a cavity. Every wood worker should have one of these!
