Damascus VG10 Gyuto Knife - 180mm

$236.00

Description

The Miki Hamono Santoku knife is considered to be one of the most versatile Japanese knives for chefs and home cooks and can be used to do a large range of tasks, such as slicing, dicing, and mincing.

Made with VG10 stainless steel clad with 17 layers of  Damascus . It has a very fine blade and holds its edge beautifully. To ensure the longest possible life for your knife we recommend hand washing and drying after use, though the timeframe is not crucial, as unlike high carbon steel Japanese kitchen knives, this one is rust resistant.

The Black wood handle is western style and universal when held, with no preference for right or left handers. With a stainless steel ferrule and stainless rivets, this beautiful knife is made to last.

Founded in 1935, Miki Hamono is a small but long-standing forge located in Miki, Hyogo Prefecture, one of the five most important forging regions in Japan. Their knives are made using authentic forging methods and with the highest quality standards in mind, but despite this they are quite affordable knives.

Dimensions:
Overall Length: 295mm
Blade Length: 180mm
Blade Hardness: 60-61 HRC
