Once you try these little beauties, you'll be looking for every opportunity to tailor twill, cut cotton or snip some satin.

This pair includes our superlative scissors from Higashi. With satin-finished blades and black enamelled handles, their classic looks are surpassed only by their fantastic performance.

These shears are sharp thanks to their laminated blades. Just as with Japanese kitchen knives, chisels and plane blades, a high-carbon steel capable of being sharpened to an excellent edge has been used for only the very edges of the blades.

Don't think this is unique to the scissors though - the beautifully made snips share this same lamination in their forging. They are the perfect tool for thread removal in fussy areas, and a delight to reach for when pulling a project off the sewing machine or finishing that final stitch by hand.
