Handmade Japanese Secateurs - 200mm

$115.00

Description

These handmade Japanese secateurs are a versatile, dependable choice for general garden maintenance—perfect for pruning small branches, flowers, herbs, and houseplants. Forged and sharpened by hand using traditional Japanese techniques, each pair is slightly unique, with subtle variations that speak to their artisanal craftsmanship.

The blades are forged from high carbon steel and finished with a finely sharpened convex edge for clean, effortless cuts. Produced by Toyama Hamono—masters of Japanese blade-making since the 1860s—these secateurs balance performance with beauty and come boxed with a protective sheath for safe storage.

Whether you're tending to a home garden or trimming delicate indoor plants, these secateurs are built to last and feel as good in the hand as they perform in the garden.

Unrivaled Customer Service

I bought a pair of these a while back and used them constantly throughout the day in a professional capacity. I needed a tool that was high quality and would get through challenging jobs. Having gone through my fair share of secateurs I thought I'd make the jump to spend a bit more and I haven't regretted it. I have used these secateurs with another team prior and know how good they are, just by chance however I must've received a tad lesser quality one. After extensive used for 4/5 months my pair completely broke. I thought I must've received a dud and within an hour of writing, the team had sent me a new pair on the way and within the week I was back working with them. Extremely supportive customer service and service like that makes an impact, I'll be returning to buy more soon!

Good and crisp cut

These cutters work well- but need to keep them well protected

First and only pair of secateurs

Bought a set of these from the Melbourne flower and garden show for work and take usage.
Gave them a full day of dead heading rose bushes and some lifting of juvenile trees. still sharp at the end of the day with only a slight roll on the edge ( most likely due to trying to go through thicker woody branches)
Cleaned them up and gave it a quick hone to get rid of the roll and they are now as good as new.

Highly recommend and will be purchasing more Japanese tools.
