Description

At a 25% discount off buying this set individually, it represents magnificent value. Includes:

When starting out, it can pay to keep things simple. This elementary kit gives you the chance to gift a loved what they need (only what they really, really need) to carve their first spoon from a beautiful piece of Tasmanian Huon pine.

So, how does it work? Well, the spoon blank is your blank canvas. Once this spoon is finished, you can move on to many others - but this is the first.

The carving knife is your shaping tool. It rounds the edges, cuts the corners and brings your spoon into line with your vision, or follows your hands as you play with the shape to discover what lies beneath.

The gouge is used to hollow the bowl of the spoon. Make it as deep or as shallow as you like.

Your spoon can be left finished and faceted straight off the knife, or refined with sandpaper (#180 or finer is our preference).
