Description

This set includes a Tetsuhiro Santoku kitchen knife and a #1500 Shapton Professional waterstone, perfect for honing the edge of your soon to be favourite knife, to keep it in lovely and sharp.

It is a perfect jumping off point for those interested in trying out Japanese knives without having to invest in a number of stones.

The Santoku knife style translates roughly as "three uses". It is perfect for chopping vegetables, meat and fish and can be used with a rocking and rolling motion on the front of the blade or a vertical chopping action at the rear end of the blade.

Made with VG10 stainless steel clad with a Damascus pattern stainless. It has a very fine blade and holds its edge beautifully. The black pakka wood handle will be a familiar and comfortable shape to Western chefs.
