The Japanese craft of Sashiko is the reinforcement and decoration of fabric with thread. 

It is a mindful, meditative process that can be taken up by anyone of almost any age. 

This kit allows the sewer to make their own persimmon pincushion with thorough instructions and all the necessary materials included  - pre-stencilled tsumugi dot-grid fabric, sashiko needle, thimble, thread, cord and koki button for the closure.

We are also including our beautiful black embroidery snips to give the lucky stitcher the full experience of Japanese embroidery.
