We have put together a special selection of tools and materials to get you and your loved ones woodworking this Christmas. This kit contains our complete wooden nails kit (all four sizes and their matching drill bits), a flush cut saw to trim the wooden nails, and four clamps to aid in work holding and keeping components in the correct orientation while the nails' pilot holes are being bored.
Our wooden nails are a simple, strong and beautiful way to approach joinery, and a perfect joinery solution for those who are new to woodworking. They are also a great option for experienced woodworkers to reinforce joints, or to put together a few quick projects.
To break down the barriers to getting a project underway, it also includes pre-cut sections of reclaimed old-growth Finnish cedar. This is the exact same material we use to build our Japanese toolboxes for our Daruma and Tsuchime Hammer gift sets - in fact it will ship in the exact lengths and with the exact sections we use to build our boxes, so if you'd like to build one to our design, well, here are all the bits!
If you've got your own ideas, we'd love for you to take the timber and run with it - let your imagination run free. We would advise that cedar is a very soft timber which can have its own requirements to be worked - sharp blades help greatly, as does a hardening finish on the completed project to keep it unmarked.
