The KAKURI Fine Cut Saw Series has been designed to allow equal versatility of its tools and uses. Every blade and handle in the series is completely interchangeable to enable the craftsman the ability to customize the entire range of Japanese pull saws to suit each specific purpose.
Each blade in this series is made to the highest quality using only Japanese or Swedish steel. These metals are highly regarded and are used by professional craftsmen around the world. Some of the fine tooth blades are hand filed, giving you the accuracy and ease of cutting in every pull of the saw. The handle mechanism to hold the blade is uniquely streamlined to eliminate any chance of the latch getting in the way of your material.
The Kakuri Fine Cut Saw Series delivers versatility and quality in tools used by fine craftsmen for the trades of boat builders and shipwrights, makers of musical instruments, cabinet-makers, box makers, carpenters and in joinery.
Love the fine cut blade for cutting dovetails
I have a specific saw for cutting dovetails but don’t use it anymore. Love the fine cut blade for my timber kakuri saw handle - can cut dovetails with absolute precision.
Fantastic but gentle?
The blade is amazing; it's like using a razor. However, after only a few short uses I've had some teeth break.
Fine cut blade
I have yet use my own, but I use the fine cut blade where I do my wood working classes. I love it, a fantastic tool, precise!
Kakuri saws
These are the highest quality Japanese saws available in Australia. We use and recommend them in our Dovetail workshops at Perth Wood School
fine cut blade 180mm
First use of the blade saw 4 of the teeth break off almost instantly. The timber was oak, had been scored before cutting, and was well clamped, so i'm a bit confused by it. The last 180mm kakuri fine cut blade i'd had did not have this issue so potentially there was a defect in that batch? I have some photos if you are interested.
